Almond Marble Cake

This is a very special cake. It is adapted from Marcy Goldman’s outstanding cookbook, “A Treasury of Jewish Holiday Baking.” It was my wedding cake. It’s infinitely adaptable — I’ve included suggestions for variations at the end of the recipe.
