Congratulations on your wedding! I’m so happy you’re considering celebrating with a Forsythia Forsythia Cake.

All Forsythia Forsythia cakes are handmade in New York’s Hudson Valley, by Hannah Mandel.

I work with couples to develop a vision for your dream cake, including custom flavors, locally grown flowers, fruit, greenery, and other decorative and stylistic elements. All flowers are free of pesticides and non-toxic.

Tastings

Prior to your wedding, I offer optional tastings to couples, in which you select four flavors of cake, frosting and fillings, and two optional add ins, to sample. Tastings are available for pickup in Kingston, NY.

Pickup for tastings can be scheduled on weekends, or after 6pm on weekdays.

In order to adequately prepare, I ask that tastings are booked at least 3 weeks in advance.

Tastings are $150.

I am unable to ship samples for tastings.

All Forsythia Forsythia wedding cakes can be picked up in Kingston, New York.

Alternatively, I am able to deliver cakes with the following associated fees:

Within 30 miles of Kingston, NY: $75 (Flat rate)
Outside of 30 mile radius: $2 per additional mile

All cakes will be delivered securely attached to cake board or base. Standard-sized cakes will be delivered in a cake box.

Forsythia Forsythia cakes are made with Swiss meringue buttercream, which melts quickly in heat, and needs to be refrigerated until 30-45 minutes prior to serving. The cakes can sit out for up to two hours in air conditioned or temperature controlled spaces. Please ensure that your venue is able to provide a refrigerated space for cakes prior to your delivery.

Forsythia Forsythia does not provide cake stands, coolers, or serving tools.

Transportation and Packaging

Tiered cakes (traditional wedding cake shape) pricing is based on the size of the cake, flavors selected, florals and decorations. Forsythia Forsythia tiered cakes are generally priced between $10-$12 per serving, and can serve 30- 250.

I am open to working with you on custom shapes and styles, which are also priced per serving.

I offer three layer, standard sized cakes, which are priced per cake, rather than per serving. Many couples select multiple individual standard sized cakes, to enjoy a variety of flavors.

6 inch round, oval or square cake (with wedding florals): (serves 12-14) $200

9 inch round, oval or square cake (with wedding florals) (serves 18-24): $275

12 inch round, oval or square cake (with wedding florals) (serves 35-45): $350

14 inch round, oval or square cake (with wedding florals) (serves 65-75): $475

9 x 13 quarter sheet cake (with wedding florals) (serves 45-55): $400

13 x 18 half sheet cake (with wedding florals) (serves 75 -85): $500
